Joshua Woodland, OD

Serves Dyersville & West Union communities

Dr. Woodland is originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Human Performance from Iowa State University in 2002. He earned his doctorate at Southern College of Optometry and graduated in 2006 with the distinction of Golden Key Honors. Dr. Woodland is a part of an elite group of optometrists who completed a residency program. His time at the Salem Veterans Medical Center in Virginia sets him apart for top tier eye care.

Dr. Woodland’s practice interests are in primary eye care and ocular disease. Dr. Woodland is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Iowa Optometric Association. Dr. Woodland is deeply committed to the communities he serves. He serves on several boards including the Dyersville Health Foundation and Lions Club.

Dr. Woodland spends his free time with his wife Jeanna chasing their young children,
hunting, & snowboarding.

Corey Kelly, OD

Serves Dyersville & Elkader

Dr. Corey Kelly is originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Iowa State University in 1998. She then earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree with honors from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2002, where she received a Specialization in Aging and Low Vision Award.

Dr. Kelly has been the managing optometrist of her own practice in Dubuque, Iowa since 2003 up until joining The Woodland Eye Clinics in October 2017. Her areas of interest are in primary care optometry and contact lens. Dr. Kelly enjoys meeting new patients, learning about them and their family, and striving to meet their eye care needs. Dr. Kelly is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Iowa Optometric Association.

Dr. Kelly lives on a farm in Clayton County, Iowa with her husband Andy and their three children. They are involved in crop and livestock production. In her free time Dr. Kelly enjoys helping on the farm, and juggling the many schools and sports activities of her kids.

Katie Adams, OD

Serves the West Union Community

Dr. Katie Adams comes to us from Stacyville, Iowa, and is a graduate of Osage High School. Following high school, Dr. Adams received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from Luther College in 2016. She earned her doctorate degree from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2020 and graduated with high honors. 

Dr. Adams returned to Iowa after graduation and joined The Woodland Eye Clinic in June of 2020. Her interests are in ocular disease and primary eye care. In addition to her employment at The Woodland Eye Clinic, Dr. Adams is also a member of the American Optometric Association and the Iowa Optometric Association. 
 
Currently, Dr. Adams and her husband Ethan reside in Spillville with their young daughter and dog Bo. She spends her free time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, or hunkering down with a good book.

Bruce Stebel, OD

Serves the Elkader Community

Dr. Bruce Stebel is originally from Fayetteville, Arkansas. He received his Bachelor of Science in Genetics in Russellville, Arkansas with his emphasis being in Epigenetics role in breast cancer. He earned his doctorate at Southern College of Optometry with the distinction and belonged to both Golden Key Honors society and Beta Sigma Kappa Academic Honors society. 

Dr Stebel served as a doctor in the Pacific Northwest for over 5 years providing eye care to small rural communities, but was excited to return to the midwest to be closer to family in early 2020. Dr. Stebel’s practice interests are in primary eye care, contact lenses, and ocular disease. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Iowa Optometric Association.

When not working, Dr Stebel enjoys spending time with his family, walking his Newfoundland Dog, homebrewing, and electronic DIY projects. 

Bruce Landis, OD

Retired

Dr. Bruce Landis earned his Bachelor of Science degree and graduated with highest honors from the University of Iowa in 1976. He then graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1980.

He purchased the practice of Dr. L. R. Tappan in Elkader in 1982 and has worked full time in Elkader and Guttenberg until October 2017 when the office was purchased by The Woodland Eye Clinic. He now works part-time for the Woodland Eye Clinic in Elkader.

“I have seen the transition of optometry from a provider of vision services to a provider of broad scope vision, medical, and surgical procedures. To keep up with these advancements, I have earned the Optometric Recognition Award recognizing commitment to continuing education each year since 1985. I have enjoyed caring for patients the past 38 years and look forward to both continuing to care for patients on a part-time basis as well as spending more time with family and outside interests.” says Dr. Landis.
